Welcome!

This little space has been a dream of mine since I was 16 years old, and let's just say that was not yesterday... I had a camera that I barely knew how to use and probably 4 unpublished facebook pages for pictures I didn't take and blogs I didn't write. You know, the ones where they all ended in dot blogspot dot com?! If you don't know what I'm talking about, that makes me feel old so just move along and don't mention it. ;)

Fast forward to when I was 24 and my dear friend asked if I had ever wanted to do photography for a living... pretty sure I lied and said no, ha! but I ended up doing that for 2 1/2 years and it was a total dream come true. All I needed was for one encouraging person to come along side me, teach me, believe in me, and bring out one of the gifts the Lord gave me. Over that time I gained the confidence I had lacked in the past. My heart will cherish those years for the rest of my life.

Well here we are now. MY OWN PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS AND BLOG.

I am overwhelmed by this opportunity that the Lord has placed in my lap. Praying everyday that He would lead me. That He would be the center of this business. That His words would flood these pages, not mine.

I never for one second want this blog to point you to me, I want it to point you to heaven.

I pray that He will use this blog to encourage moms to find the magic in mundane, everyday life and know that there is joy to be found in every season. Raising a family and keeping a home are blessings meant to be celebrated and not burdens we have to bear. I believe in living simply, with less distractions to keep us from the things that truly matter. A little old fashioned can do a lot of good in these days.

But in reality, I don’t have the power to help one single person.

I can’t send you to heaven.

I can’t give you peace.

I can’t fix what’s going on in this world,

but I can absolutely point you to the One who can.
